Macron's pledge to restore Notre-Dame in five years is impossible, experts say

French President Emmanuel Macron pledged to rebuild the Notre-Dame cathedral in five years, after a blaze ripped through the 12th century building and destroyed its spire.

However John David the Master Mason at York Minister says it cannot be done, "if they want to do a proper job it will have to take at least 10 years."
