Macron Presents Legion of Honor Medal to Zelensky During Paris Visit
French President Emmanuel Macron said that France would help Ukraine “to victory” against the Russian invasion, during a visit from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on February 8.
In a joint statement on Wednesday night in Paris, Macron pledged continued military support to Ukraine .
“We stand by Ukraine, determined to help it to victory," he said. "Ukraine can count on France and its allies to win the war, Russia should not and will not win the war.”
“Just as we have made new deliveries of defense equipment in recent weeks, we are continuing this effort and we are discussing Ukraine’s operational needs together this evening.”
