MINTY BETS: It's time for our best bets for Wednesday, January 20, in the NBA and college hoops. Let's start with you, Jared. What's your best bet tonight?
JARED QUAY: Golden State Warriors-San Antonio Spurs, over 226. I think this should be a close game, which can lead to late-game fouling. And I love both of these teams have certified bucket-getters.
Spurs are on the road, but they've been consistently putting up 110 to 115 points. And if Golden State can keep up with that, I think it does go over. Only way it goes under is if Golden State doesn't play the best game that they've been playing after they beat the Lakers. So over 226. Let's make some money.
MINTY BETS: Mine is also going to be in the NBA. I like the Dallas Mavericks, plus-1 over the Indiana Pacers. I can see this going to a pickup, maybe favored by game time. But I like Dallas because the Pacers are missing a couple key players, and they're coming back home after a long road trip. Dallas is 14 and six against the spread on the road after a loss, so I expect Dallas to bounce back here. Matt, what is your pick in college hoops?
- All right, well, you guys know I love the Midwest. And I love the Big Ten, so that's where we're going today-- Northwestern plus-11 against Wisconsin. Northwestern's been blown out, actually, in a couple of its later games here this year. But in all of those games they've been out-rebounded by at least 10 rebounds. Wisconsin, on the other hand, hasn't out-rebounded anybody in the last two months.
So I like Northwestern in this game. It's kind of an ugly pick, but plus-11. I think they keep it close.
