MINTY BETS: Welcome to Mad Bets, everyone. We've got an exciting UFC fight taking place on fight island October 10th. It's going to be a bantamweight bout between Courtney Sandhagen, a minus 175 favorite, versus Marlin Moraes, plus 145 underdog.
Here with me is Kevin Iole to give us his best bet for this fight. Kevin, what do you think?
KEVIN IOLE: Well, I think this is an awesome fight, Minty. I really like it. I think at 135, 145, and 155, there are so many legitimately great fighters, and these are two of the guys.
Marlin Moraes fought Henry Cejudo for the title then came back and just defeated Jose Aldo. That was a fight I actually thought Aldo won, but it was a close fight. And impressive for him to be in that kind of performance with Jose Aldo.
Corey Sandhagen's a guy that everybody's been talking about. Really on a roll. I like Sandhagen to win this one.
I know I got burned when I took Sandhagen against Aljamain Sterling. Aljamain just stepped his game up and fought great. But I like Sandhagen to win this one.
I think, number one, there's a big difference in size, both in height and in reach. And I think that's going to make a fantastic difference for Sandhagen who has good kicks. And his kickboxing is going to work for him at that kind of range.
I think Moraes has the edge in jujitsu, but I like Corey Sandhagen to win this by decision. I think it's going to be a back and forth fight, but I think you'll see that size difference make a big difference in the fight. Go with Corey Sandhagen by decision. I'll lay that money.
