Madame Tussauds New York has moved their Larry King wax figure to the front lobby and is inviting people to write remembrances of the broadcasting legend in a condolences book. (Jan. 27)
- Yeah, so here besides me, it's Larry King's figure. He's been here with us since 2000. We unveiled his figure in 2000. Our creative team measured him up, more than 250 different measures. And he's looking exactly like he's looking today ever since.
We have him at the attraction ever since. And today, we've decided to put them out on the lobby so people can pay their respects in a free way, so they can come over here, write on the condolences book, and enjoy a little bit of time with the king of broadcast.
Well, we understand these very iconic in New York. It's one of the most famous figures, local famous figures. And we know that he interviewed more than 60,000 people across his whole career. So by the time, back in 2000, we found that he was iconic enough to have his own wax figure and that would stand the test of time.
So today he is probably even more iconic than he was back then. And we have the book for guests to sign up and write their favorite memories with him. So it's very fitting. And then we'll pass it along to his family.
