Madden 21 ratings for the Las Vegas Raiders are on the lower end. Should they be higher?

EA Sports’ ‘Madden 21’ unveiled its player NFL ratings and Las Vegas Raiders rookie wide receiver Henry Ruggs III is quite fast — and that is good news for Derek Carr.

The EA Sports makers of ‘Madden’ listed Ruggs with a 98 rating, just behind Tyreek Hill of the Kansas City Chiefs who has a 99.

And that is not all for Ruggs III because his acceleration rating is a 97, EA Sports listed.

That again puts Ruggs III behind Hill’s 99.

Ruggs has an overall rating 76.

Carr, meanwhile, was given an overall rating of 79.

While that put Carr six spots from the top 10, EA Sports did list him at No. 6 with a jumper rating of 86.

Raiders backup quarterback Marcus Mariota is also sixth.

Carr is tied with other quarterbacks at No. 10 in throw power at 91.

What he lacks, according to EA Sports, is his strength of 56, which is towards the bottom of that category.

Of the starting quarterbacks that are rated low are Drew Brees, Teddy Bridgewater, Kirk Cousins 52 and Kyler Murray 51.

Ben Roethlisberger leads the pack with an 82 rating

A look at other ratings

The Raiders’ highest-rated player overall is center Rodney Hudson at a 93. The other player to score in the 90s is guard Richie Incognito who has a 90.

Incognito, defensive tackle Mo Hurst Jr., and tackle Trent Brown are the team’s strongest players at a 94.

Wide receiver Rico Gafford is second in the team in speed behind Ruggs at a 96. The Raiders have a lot of speed with 14 players at or above a 90.

Tight end Darren Waller has the team’s highest catching rating with a 93. No other Raiders player scored in the 90s. Wide receivers Hunter Renfrow and Zay Jones have an 86. Ruggs III checked in with a rating of an 83, perhaps getting love from last season when he had 40 catches at Alabama.

A slight to Maxx Crosby?

Defensive end Maxx Crosby totaled 10 sacks in his rookie season, but that still didn’t please EA Sports who gave Crosby an 77.

The Eastern Michigan product wasn’t thrilled about his rating, taking his frustration at Twitter.

Though Crosby didn’t score any 90s, he was an 87 (acceleration), speed (83) and agility (82).
