Madison County man facing charges of sexual battery, rape and child molestation
A Colbert man was charged recently with molesting a girl earlier this month,
according to the Madison County Sheriff's Office.
Larry Shane David, 41, of Britany Point Drive was charged with hindering a
person from making an emergency call, sexual battery of a child under the age
of 16, statutory rape and four counts of child molestation.

The alleged assault occurred in early June at a location on Brittany Point Drive, Madison
County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Jeff Vaughn said Monday.
The suspect knew the victim and her family, but was not related to them, according
to Vaughn.
David was arrested on June 22 and remained in jail Monday without bond.
