Madison County man sentenced for distributing child porn, using teens for sex pics, videos

A Madison County man distributed videos of children ages 3-7 engaged in sexual activity and exploited two teenage girls on Snapchat and Google Duo into sending him pictures and videos of themselves engaged in sexual conduct, federal prosecutors say.

Donald Adams, 52, of Mount Sterling, Ohio, was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Columbus to 20 years in prison for his guilty pleas in May to two counts of sexually exploiting a minor and two counts of distributing child pornography.

Adams was also ordered to pay restitution to the two teens he directly exploited as well as eight other child victims from his pornography collection identified through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Between May and September 2021, prosecutors alleged, Adams admitted using Snapchat and Google Duo to convince two female teenagers he was in a romantic relationship with them and then coerced them to send him photos and videos of themselves engaged in sexual conduct, according to federal court records.

At least one of the teens sent the sexual content to other online predators at Adams' direction, records state.

Adams even drove to another state to pick up one of the teenage girls, whom he took to a hotel room for three hours, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Columbus.

In addition, Adams sent videos of children ages 3 to 7 years old engaging in sexually explicit conduct to an online undercover FBI agent in September 2021, court records indicate.

More than 1,500 photos and 2,000 videos of children being sexually abused were found among Adams' pornography collection after his arrest. The U.S. Attorney's Office says some of the victims being sexually abused by adults were only infants and toddlers.
