Madison Reed opens new hair color bar in the Village of Rochester Hills

Online hair color specialist Madison Reed is opening a brick and mortar location in the Village of Rochester Hills — the company's first location in Michigan.

Madison Reed focuses on giving salon-goers hair color free of damaging chemicals.

Services included balayage highlights, ammonia-free foil highlights, root touch-ups, all-over color services, and more.

The brand was founded in 2013 with the intent of revolutionizing how women colo their hair. Madison Reed opened its first location in New York City in 2017 and since has expanded across the country.

Its formulas are created using ingredients imported from Italy, including keratin, ginseng root extract and argan oil for shine.

The brand’s founder and CEO, Amy Errett, has a mission.

“Our company is founded on the belief that we all deserve better. Better hair color made with better ingredients, and better care for not only our hair but for our clients and community,” Errett said in a news release.

“We are thrilled to open our doors in Michigan and welcome clients to experience our signature color services."

For individuals who need frequent touch-ups, Madison Reed offers the Unlimited Roots Membership Plan. It starts at $65 a month for unlimited touchups plus other perks.

Madison Reed, 346 N. Adams in Rochester Hills, is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and closed on Sunday and Monday.
