Madonna Celebrates Her 61st Birthday By Getting Serenaded By Her Son

Madonna celebrated her 61st birthday in typical Madonna fashion as the legendary singer dressed up as her alter ego, "Madame X," and partied with friends and family.

During the lavish party, the pop icon was serenaded at the bash by her son David Banda, 13, while her daughter Mercy James, also 13, played the piano.

David, surrounded by a group of friends, held the microphone and began to sing "Your Song" by Elton John when his mother joined him and sang along.

Madonna was decked out in a military green general's jacket, with badges, medals, and a "Madame X" name tag.

She also sported her trademark "Madame X" eye-patch and a crisp white shirt with a black tie.

The "Like a Virgin" singer captioned the video posted to her instagram by writing, "Best Birthday present ever... when your children sing to you."

Madonna documeted her birthday with several videos posted to her social media.

Currently in the middle of rehearsal for her Madame X theater tour starting this fall, the Material Girl was seen in one of the videos with her dancers for the tour, receiving birthday donuts as the crowd cheered while holding red and white Madame X balloons.

"This is the beginning of three marvelous nights of celebration, and it all starts with donuts," Madonna said. "Dig in, motherf--kers!!"

In another video, Madonna seems to tease some of the dances for her upcoming tour. In that video, captioned "Birthday Dance," dancers are seen moving in kinetic rhythm to the song "Batuka" from the new album, whose music video dropped two weeks ago.

Happy Birthday, Madonna ... you look great!
