Madonna's forthcoming biopic may be getting a foxy addition.

Per Entertainment Weekly, Julia Fox is in talks to play Debi Mazar, one of the pop icon's longtime friends, in the singer's work-in-progress film about her life.

On Instagram last week, Madonna hinted at the possibility of casting the Uncut Gems star. Captioning a photo of her and Fox cozying up together on a sofa, she wrote, "Went to dinner with Julia to talk about my movie and some other folks showed up…………………😎🎥🎬."

Other photos show the two accompanied by Kanye West, Antonio Brown, and Floyd Mayweather.

Fans have previously noted the likeness between Fox and Mazar, the actress best known for her roles in Goodfellas and, later, in the series Younger and Entourage. Last August, the two even sat down together for a Zoom interview for Document, during which they reflected on their similarities.

"I looked you up and I went, She’s gorgeous!" Mazar told Fox. "We do need to play relatives at some point."

"I actually wrote a little short film, and I had you in mind as the mom. It would be funny to develop that, I'll send it to you just for laughs, see if you're into it," Fox replied. Later, she added that their physical resemblance is "maybe a little in the eyes, the high cheekbones. But I do feel like you're much more striking."

Madonna previously opened up about taking creative control over a movie about her life and career.

"People have tried to write movies about me but they're always men … ugh," she told Jimmy Fallon last October. "[Universal] sent me a script and they wanted my blessing and I read it and it was one of the most hideous, superficial, crap I've ever read. And then I found out—I'm not even going to say his name, but he's a total misogynist—was directing and I'm thinking, 'Why would these people make a movie about my life?'"
