Madrid pooches and owners take part in charity walk
STORY: Organized every year between Christmas and the new year by El Refugio animal shelter, the "San Perrestre" dog walk is a festive and fun event with a good cause.
"We are marching against animal abandonment. We all came with our dogs and we are enjoying it, having a good time and, as you can see, lives can be saved while having fun and that's today's main goal," head of El Refugio Nacho Paulino said.
"I think this is marvelous for them to go out, being seen, and that animals get to meet each other,” said Madrid resident Chelo Abellan. “You can see they are looking great, flawless and beautiful."
