Madrid rushes to clone trees downed by snowstorm

"We are collecting stakes from this century old oak that fell during Storm Filomena. We are collecting stakes to take them through a cloning process to get genetically identical offspring from the fallen tree."

Researchers expect it to take decades to replace the lost trees
