Married at First Sight UK star Ella Morgan Clark has admitted she feels "full of sadness" following the latest series' final episode.

Ella, who has made history as the show's first-ever trans bride, reached the end of her MAFS journey earlier this week, deciding not to pursue things further with John Joe 'JJ' Slater during the vow renewal ceremony.

Ahead of the final reunion episode last night (November 16), Ella took to her Instagram page to share a series of photos with JJ and the cast.

"After 9 long weeks on air, many months of filming, many one liners, iconic looks, over a year in the making, a loud of ups and downs, a hell of a lot of Prosecco .. it’s time to say goodbye to my Married at First Sight journey," she began.

"I am so emotional writing this, I’m in one way so glad it’s over but in another I’m [a] wreck and full of sadness. It’s been a crazy wild journey for all of us.

"I am so glad I took part in this experiment, I have learnt and grown so much since auditioning last July, I’ve met the most incredible people, cast and crew, I’ve got the best friends for life, especially my girls @rozzdarlington @jay_howard @itstashajay @laurajayvaughan and met the most incredible guy in the world who will forever be a best friend @johnjoeslater."

"I’ve loved every second .. I’m just excited for my future and what’s to come."

Following the vow renewal ceremony earlier in the week, Ella admitted on social media that she was "emotional", and that it was the "hardest episode to watch".
