Maggie Moo's Mooooves Its Ice Cream Shop

EXTON, PA — Ice cream in summer is always in demand. Maggie Moo's ice cream shop has run out of room at its Main Street Exton location. The business recently relocated to 137 W. Lincoln Highway and opens this week.

The popular treat vendor is adding cookie and cookie cakes to its menu, according to Events Coordinator Kelly McGlone. "Our Main Street at Exton location is officially closed," McGlone announced.

She said the new Maggie Moo's store opens this Thursday, July 16 at noon. The new location is most easily identified by the Kohl's Department Store, in the same mall area.

Maggie Moo's serves at least 24 flavors of ice cream every day, as well as sorbet and frozen yogurt. It's been in business locally for 10 years. The Exton store is the only Maggie Moo's in this area, but there are shops elsewhere, nationally.

McGlone said other Maggie Moo's around the country have combined with Great American Cookies, which is what the Exton shop is doing, too. "We love how well ice cream and cookies go together, and know that cookies are another popular dessert."

The new shop has an updated design and feels more trendy, said McGlone. It will provide more space for the cookies, and for customers.

Masks are absolutely required when inside the Maggie Moo's store, McGlone said, explaining the other safety measures the shop has in place against coronavirus. "We have Plexiglass shields for all of the food prep areas, along with the registers. Our servers are required to wear masks and gloves. If a customer chooses to pay with a credit card, our system now allows them to do it all on their end without having to hand it over to the cashier, so that ensures more safety as well."

Maggie Moo's will share an outdoor patio area with Giorgio's Pizza, which is right next door. "It has plenty of room for customers to sit, which we know is especially important right now," said McGlone.
