Magic Mike Is Back, But Without the Rest of His Sexy Crew

The best things come in threes!

Channing Tatum’s legendary dancer Magic Mike is back one more time in Steven Soderbergh’s Magic Mike’s Last Dance. Only this time, he’s leaving behind his crew and going abroad.

In the trailer, Mike is living in Miami and working as a bartender when he’s approached by a beautiful woman played by Salma Hayek.

“You came along and gave me this unexpected, magical moment, that made me remember who I really was,” she tells Mike after he shows her what he really can do when he’s passionate about something.

Soon, Mike is going with Hayak’s character to London, where she’s going to help him put on a show like no one’s ever seen before.

Of course, we are salivating waiting for this movie to come out. The first two movies are iconic, and Tatum’s Mike is one of the sexiest movie characters of all time. However, there is something we’re missing in this trailer: the Magic Mike family.

Previous Magic Mike movies featured an ersatz chosen family made up of the stripping group the Kings of Tampa. In the first film, they’re led by Matthew McConaughey’s Dallas and are welcoming in newcomer Adam (Alex Pettyfer).

After Dallas and Adam left in between movies, in Magic Mike XXL, the family includes Big D*ck Richie (Joe Manganiello), Tarzan (Kevin Nash), Tito (Adam Rodríguez), Ken (Matt Bomer) and Tobias (Gabriel Iglesias). By the end of the movie, Andre (Donald Glover) and Malik (Stephen “tWitch” Boss) have also joined.

The crew of dancers was definitely one of our favorite parts of the movies, and we don’t really want to imagine Mike dancing without his brothers. Hopefully, they’ll show up in the movie somehow.

Magic Mike’s Last Dance will be released in theaters on February 10, 2023. Check out the trailer below.
