Magnitude 3.0 earthquake felt in Northwest Louisiana

Residents of the Blanchard and Mooringsport, Louisiana areas felt the effects of an earthquake Sunday afternoon.

According the USGS, a magnitude 3.0 earthquake occurred 4 km south, southwest of Mooringsport at a depth of 5 km.

According to USGS maps, the epicenter appears to between Greenwood Road and Old Mooringsport Latex Road.
