Magnitude 5.7 quake strikes Pahala, Hawaii - USGS

(Reuters) -A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck the small town of Pahala on the Big Island of Hawaii on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The quake, revised from an initial magnitude of 6.3, was at a depth of 22.9 miles (36.85 km), the USGS said.

No tsunami is expected after the earthquake, the U.S. Tsunami Warning Center said, adding that some areas might have experienced strong shaking.

A crowd-sourced USGS "did-you-feel-it" map showed weak to light shaking was felt around the island.
