Another local couple is putting faith in Main Street Newcomerstown as they just opened Now & Then Guns-N-Stuff at 211 W. Main St., on May 6. The location is next to the Feed Barn. Kevin and Robyn Hanenkrat are the owners, and they are extremely excited with moving their in-home business to a separate location.

“I had the shop both online, and in my home since 2017, but my business has grown as well as my family. Robyn Hickman Hanenkrat and I were recently married, and I went from having just my daughter and myself to a five-person household. We are also a dog-loving family, and have five altogether,” noted Kevin.

Once the couple made the decision to relocate Now & Then Guns-N-Stuff in the village, they consulted with Robyn’s uncle, Ron Hickman of Old Towne Realty, and he assisted in finding the perfect storefront for them. The business is independently owned, and very family oriented. Kevin and Robyn have received tons of support from their daughters — Hailee, Mady, and Libby — as well as both of their families.

“We offer both new and used guns, as well as ammo, powder/primers, holsters, gun cleaning supplies, reloading supplies, scopes, and many more hunting and gun accessories," Kevin pointed out. "We also will be carrying LaCrosse boots in the near future. I am happy to special order any item you are looking for when available. You may order online for your convenience with shipping options or pick up at Now & Then Guns-N-Stuff.

"Another brand we are proud to offer is our own NTGS Customs, which includes custom or ready to sell apparel, decals, tumblers, and more. Robyn can customize any tumbler or apparel (among other items) with your own design. We also feature a unique Nana’s Corner with elements my mom crafts such as quilts, bears, unique kid’s purses, and other gift pieces. There is something for everyone at Now & Then Guns-N-Stuff.”

“While Kevin grew up at Atwood Lake and moved to the area 16 years ago for work, I have resided in the village or close my entire life, and I am an NHS graduate. When we decided it was time to expand out of our house, we knew Newcomerstown was the place for us," Robyn said. "I love the community, and Kevin has come to love it too. It is the small-town atmosphere I want our children to experience. We enjoy being involved with our three daughter’s activities including volleyball and softball, as well as coaching softball. Our careers and children keep us busy, and we would not have it any other way, but it also nice to spend time bowling, hunting, fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities when time allows.”

Kevin and Robyn end by conveying they are looking forward to being an active part of Main Street and feel blessed to bring a business to Newcomerstown that is one the village has not had for years. The Hanenkrats would also like to thank all their valued customers, and if you have not stopped in, please do, and view all Now & Then Guns-N-Stuff has to offer. If you are looking for something in particular, please give them a call at 740-492-4133, or send them an email at nowthengunsstuff@gmail.com
