Maine man uses Bible in attempt to steal an SUV: cops
He gives new meaning to Bible thumper.
Benjamin Parker of Bangor, Maine, attempted to weaponize the Good Book while attempting to steal a family’s SUV, according to ABC affiliate WMTW.
Parker is accused of sliding into the driver’s seat of a sitting SUV when the family that owned vehicle pulled over, then stepped outside to take photos.
A man with the family who was taking photos spotted Parker and dashed toward the alleged would-be auto thief to wrestle him out of the vehicle as he tried to drive away.
