Major breach hits Under Armour app, MetLife has a new partner, Judge orders change at Starbucks

A massive breach at Under Armour (UA) tops our list. The athletic retailer said 150 million MyFitnessPal accounts have been compromised. User information including usernames, email addresses, and hashed passwords have been exposed. Payment information, however, was not affected. The company’s investigation is ongoing.

MetLife (MET) is teaming up with China’s Tencent through a deal with its digital insurance provider, WeSure. The new partnership will give MetLife access to Tencent’s 1 billion monthly active users.

A crackdown on Starbucks (SBUX). A California judge has ruled Starbucks, as well as other coffee sellers, must put a cancer warning on coffee sold in the state. The ruling comes after a group accused about 90 coffee retailers of violating a law that requires companies to disclose cancer-causing chemicals in their products. The National Coffee Association is planning to appeal the decision.

Even though Nvidia (NVDA) has temporarily paused the testing of its self-driving cars, it isn’t abandoning the space all together. At its annual GPU Technology Conference this week, Nvidia stressed the importance of autonomous driving and made a number of announcements concerning the future of autonomous vehicles.
