Major crash on Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bensalem causes delays. What it means for you

Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is warning of a phishing scam designed to obtain users' financial information.

A major accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike early Thursday morning is causing headaches with a ongoing delays severely impacting rush hour traffic in Bucks County.

Officials with the Pennsylvania Turnpike posted on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, warning drivers to avoid the area.

"I-276 mile 350.3 east & west ... The left & center lanes are blocked. Be alert for slow or stopped traffic. Expect delays.

According to a social media alert by the Nottingham Fire Department in Bensalem, crews are working a scene on the Turnpike west of Route 1 in both directions with several vehicles involved.

KYW's "Traffic on The Two's" also sent out a traffic notice on X, reporting the crash involved a truck striking the center barrier, and leading to a person being trapped inside a vehicle.

" ... Cars have smashed into the barrier debris causing a chain reaction, secondary crash, the left and center lanes are blocked as well," read KYW's post:

In a follow-up post on X, Pennsylvania Turnpike officials noted eastbound traffic is now able to pass the scene in the center lane, but delays continue.
