Major Fire Breaks Out at Hospital in Santiago

Thick smoke billowed into the sky as a fire ripped through a hospital in Santiago, Chile, on Saturday, January 30.

Chilean firefighters said that 37 units and more than 100 firefighters responded the scene at the San Borja Arriarán hospital.

The Chilean health ministry said the blaze had not affected any part of the hospital housing patients, and said no patients of staff had been injured.
