What drives you crazy? It drives me crazy when I hear people chewing their food really loud. It's not the crunch sound, it's the smacking of their lips!
What makes you happy? Cats make me very happy! Meow!
Favorite book: I love the ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ book series! I have liked all of the ones I have read.
Favorite movie: My favorite movie is ‘Beethoven.’
Favorite color: My favorite color is teal.
Favorite food: My favorite food is mac and cheese.
What do you do for fun? I enjoy playing with my friends when I am not in school.
Whom do you admire and why? I admire my mom. She is amazing. She is always there for me, and she helps me with anything and everything that comes my way.
Educational goals: My educational goal is to make sure I earn A's for the entire school year.
Career goals: In the future, I want to have a career that has to do with making music and/or teaching art.
For Ms. Alyssa Appelson, teacher, how does this student's exemplary behavior illustrate the goals your school is pursuing? From the very first day of school, Makayla has always walked into a room with a smile on her face, ready to take on anything that comes her way. She is such a kind, compassionate person who is always striving for success, not just for herself, but also for her peers. She is not afraid to make a mistake, she uses them as learning experiences! Makayla always makes sure to ask questions to help guide her understanding in what she needs to do. She is an all around exemplary child! She stays motivated and respectful in everything she does and makes sure to always hang on to her sense of humor, sweet personality, and love for cats! I am honored to be her teacher this year and so proud for all of her accomplishments thus far!
