The Makeup Brand That Everyone Will Be Talking About in 2019

We're calling it: Flesh Beauty will be the makeup brand that everyone will be talking about in 2019. Find out why we think it'll be the best makeup brand of the new year here.

There's a few different signs that indicate a new beauty brand has "made it." Some of those include the following: If a celebrity wears it, if an item from the line earns a regular spot in an Instagram-famous makeup artist's kit, and of course, if you can score it at a beauty specialty store like Ulta or Sephora. Well, Flesh Beauty, the newly launched makeup brand created by beauty veteran Linda Wells, did all of that in well under a year.

With all that being said, it's pretty safe to say that Flesh Beauty has not only made it, but is on track to being one of the most popular makeup brands of 2019.

The brand exclusively hit Ulta shelves back in July with standard products like lipstick, highlighter, and blush, but its buzziest offering was its inclusive, multipurpose 40-shade range of stick foundation. Not only can it be used as a traditional foundation, but it was also designed to double as concealer and a contouring product. With its dewy, medium-coverage formula, it fit right in with the brand's mission of providing customers with easy-to-use products that highlight and enhance their natural skin, rather than fully altering and masking it. The Fleshy Lips Lipstick follows the same idea, lightly coating lips in pigment that creates a just-blotted appearance.

Since its initial launch, Flesh Beauty has expanded with multiple forms of lipstick, eyeshadow palettes, concealer, primer, and products you always wish existed, like a non-sticky, oil-free gloss that can be safely worn on your eyes, lips, and cheeks, and an actual flipbook of highlighter sheets. Yes, we're talking about pieces of paper coated with shimmery highlighter that you can simply press into your skin and then toss once you're finished.

As for what's to come? There's no news yet on official launches for the year ahead, but there's arguably room for growth, especially given the fact that there are still product genres that Flesh hasn't touched (eyeliner and mascara being the two biggest).

You can use those placements as a testament to the fact that the products not only create beautiful, photograph-worthy beauty looks, but that they also perform — AKA the lipstick will last longer than a cup of coffee and the eyeshadow won't travel to the far places of your face.

What's even better is that Flesh's performance doesn't kill your bank account. The most expensive item in the collection, a 9-shade eyeshadow palette, only retails for $38.
