Makeup Mogul Jeffree Star Lists Hidden Hills, California, Mansion for $20 Million

After a tumultuous 2020, Jeffree Star is bidding farewell to California. The cosmetics mogul is selling his 19,549-square-foot Hidden Hills mansion for $20 million, only a year and a half after moving in, Dirt reports.

The Jeffree Star Cosmetics founder, who has been embroiled in various controversies throughout his career, plans to move to Wyoming—where he’s already been living part-time on his 70-acre ranch—to focus on his mental health, he revealed in a recent YouTube video that coincided with the listing for the seven-bedroom, 12-bathroom behemoth.

“I need to get away from California and its day-to-day atmosphere,” the 35-year-old lifelong Golden State resident admitted. “I think I’ve gotten all that I can out of this state.”

The nearly three-acre compound, which Star bought in 2019 for $14.6 million and renovated, is described as a “French Normandy estate” in the listing. Perfect for a maximalist, the ornate space features just about every amenity one can imagine: massive living spaces, an updated kitchen, a game room complete with a custom Louis Vuitton pool table and Barbie pink piano (it is unclear if Star will be taking those things with him), a state-of-the-art gym, a movie theater, a spa, a library that doubles as an office, and a wine cellar with an adjacent tasting room. There’s also a 4,700-square-foot underground garage and a 5,400-square-foot “beauty barn” for makeup and hair.

The yard boasts a patio that encircles a gigantic swimming pool and Jacuzzi, a pergola seating area with pink cushions and fire pit with pink glass rocks, and an outdoor cooking area.

Just weeks before buying his Wyoming property in December 2020, Star sold his famously decked-out bubblegum pink mansion in Calabasas for $3.4 million. While at the time he tweeted that he’d “never leave Hidden Hills,” the YouTube star has since changed his mind. He concluded in the video, “I’m proud of where I’ve gotten to, but I need to have a new energy.”
