Malachi Flynn goes off for career-high as Raptors dismantle Cavaliers

In just his second career start, Malachi Flynn produced his finest performance of the season on Saturday to help the Toronto Raptors to a dominating win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Flynn finished with a career-high 20 points and 11 assists for his first double-double in the 135-115 victory. He converted on 8-of-14 shots from the field, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range, while he also added two rebounds and two assists.

The Raptors scored a franchise-record 87 points in the first half as they opened up a 38-point lead before halftime. Gary Trent Jr. led Toronto with 25 points at the break as he would go on to finish with a career-high 44 points on 17-of-19 shooting from the field.

With the Raptors dealing with injury issues, the team recently asked Flynn to be more aggressive on offense and that has resulted in some of his best basketball of the season. He looked to be on the attack on Saturday and that enabled the Raptors to pick up the win versus the Cavaliers.
