Mallory Anderson is joining Milwaukee's WISN-TV (Channel 12) as morning live desk anchor

Michigan native Mallory Anderson is joining WISN-TV (Channel 12) as live desk anchor on the Milwaukee ABC affiliate's weekday morning newscasts.

Anderson, who has been news anchor and reporter at KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs, Colorado, since October 2021, starts her new gig Nov. 15, Channel 12 said Tuesday. She's joining a morning news team that already includes main co-anchors Diana Gutiérrez and Gerron Jordan, meteorologist Lindsey Slater and News Chopper 12 reporter Matt Salemme.

Jordan joined Channel 12 as live desk anchor on the station's weekday 4:30 to 7 a.m. newscasts in November 2021 before being bumped up to co-anchor in May after Adrienne Petersen left the station, and television news, for a job as manager of global media relations and issues management with SC Johnson in Racine. Anderson's appointment brings the morning news show up to full staff.

Before landing in Colorado Springs, Anderson spent five years as a reporter and news anchor in her home state of Michigan, at WLUC-TV in Marquette, and WSYM-TV and WILX-TV in Lansing.

“With loved ones in Wisconsin, and growing up in Michigan, I’m so thankful to be closer to family by working inthe Midwest again," Anderson said in a statement issued by Channel 12.
