The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has recognized the West Liberty University women's track and field program and senior Kelsi Hulit.

The team was named an NCAA Division II Track & Field All-Academic Team, while Hulit, a graduate of Malvern High School, was selected as an All-Academic Athlete.

Earlier, Hulit was named Academic All-District, MEC All-Academic in addition to being an All-American thrower and holding school records in the shot put and discus. This is the second consecutive year that she has earned All-Academic honors from the USTFCCCA. She graduated with a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology.

Coach Justin Simpson's team posted a 3.488 cumulative grade point average to collect All-Academic Team selection for the third consecutive year.

To be recognized as All-Academic athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.25 on a 4.0 scale through the end of the semester of competition, complete at least 24 semester hours or 36 quarter hours through the end of the semester of competition, and have achieved an automatic or provisional qualifying mark for either the indoor season or outdoor season. Meanwhile, teams that maintain a cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field of a 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale earn All-Academic status.
