Malvern, Ridgewood ranked in the top 10 of the first AP state boys basketball poll

Inter-Valley Conference powers Malvern and Ridgewood are ranked in the top 10 of their respective divisions as the first Associated Press Ohio high school basketball poll was released on Monday.

Malvern (8-0) is ranked No. 4 in Division IV with 71 points and Ridgewood (8-1) is ranked No. 7 in Division III with 38 points.

Malvern will travel to Strasburg for a big IVC North matchup Tuesday night, while Ridgewood travels to IVC foe Hiland. Hiland is the other program from the area mentioned in the poll as the Hawks received 14 points in Division IV.

The first girls poll will be announced on Tuesday.
