Man, 2 dogs displaced by Northeast DC apartment fire
WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — DC Fire and EMS crews were on the scene of an apartment fire in Northeast D.C. on Friday morning.
In a post made on X just after 6 a.m., the department said they responded to the 3300 block of East Capitol St. NE. There, a fire broke out on the first floor of a two-story apartment building.
George Washington University demonstrations continue into Friday morning
The fire was extinguished by 7:30 a.m. Though no one was injured, a man and two dogs were displaced. The Red Cross was called in to help.
