Man, 40, fatally shot in Crown Heights: NYPD

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man was fatally shot in Crown Heights overnight, according to the NYPD.

Lavel Fraiser, 40, of Brooklyn, was shot in the torso just after 1 a.m. on Sterling Place near Franklin Avenue, according to the NYPD. He was rushed to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police had not made any arrests later Sunday.

Fraiser was shot just a few blocks from his apartment, according to police.
