Man, 55, stabbed after telling Brooklyn mugger he had no money

A 55-year-old man was repeatedly stabbed in Brooklyn by a mugger who was angry his mark didn’t have any money, police said Wednesday.

The victim was confronted about 2:30 a.m. on April 5 at Fulton St. and Van Siclen Ave. in East New York, according to cops.

The assailant asked the man for his wallet, and when the victim said he had no money on him, the suspect stabbed him five times in the body.

The mugger ran off, according to the NYPD.

The victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital in stable condition.
