Man, 60, critically injured in shooting on CTA Red Line, police say

A 60-year-old man was left in critical condition after an argument with another person who shot the victim several times on a Red Line train on the South Side, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday, an argument ensued between the victim and another person, and the person he was arguing with opened fire, striking the victim several times, police said.

The shooter fled the train at 87th Street, and the victim was taken in critical condition to the UChicago Medicine.

No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
