Man accused in bank robbery hospitalized

A suspect in a Revere bank robbery is at a hospital instead of a courtroom after suffering some sort of medical emergency. David Hattersly, 45, of New York, is accused of robbing a bank in Revere Monday, then hopping on an MBTA bus before quickly getting off and fleeing on foot through several yards. He was arrested shortly after. Cash and a pellet gun were discovered in the area, police said. It appears the bus was not his original escape plan, police said. Surveillance shows a woman who hailed a Lyft run across a parking lot during the robbery. The Lyft driver told WCVB the woman seemed preoccupied, maybe even connected in some way to the suspect. Police detained the woman, but she is not scheduled to be arraigned at this point. Police said the pair were allegedly wanted after a bank robbery in Medford a few days ago.
