Man accused of trying to steal catalytic converters

A New Hampshire man is facing charges accused of trying to steal catalytic converters from a Burlington business. Police said Damon Bonnell, 44, of Pelham was caught after the owner of a used car dealership and auto mechanic near Route 3 saw the attempted theft on security cameras and called police. As officers responded, a vehicle drove off. After a very short chase Bonnell jumped out of the vehicle and ran but was arrested, police said. The driver of the vehicle involved got away. An investigation into who else was involved is ongoing.
