UPDATE: Man sentenced in fatal shooting of Keegan Wolf at hotel on Lafayette Road

Update: Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears announced Jan. 20, 2023, that Davoncia Beasley was sentenced to 85 years in prison after a jury in December found him guilty of murder, felony murder and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury for a 2021 robbery that resulted in the death of Keegan Wolf. Beasley was also convicted of the Habitual Offender Sentencing Enhancement and the Felony Firearm Enhancement.

Original story: A man was arrested for his alleged role in the death of a man found shot in a hotel on the northwest side of Indianapolis in September.

On Nov. 18, IMPD arrested Davoncia Beasley, 24, for his alleged role in the death of Keegan Wolf, 32, in late September, per a news release from police.

On Sept. 25, IMPD responded to Quality Inn & Suites in the 5000 block of Lafayette Road on a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers found a man, later identified as Wolf, with gunshot wounds in a hotel room, per police. The man was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Beasley is facing a preliminary charge of murder, jail records show. However, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review and make a final charging decision.
