Man Arrested After Beer Cans Thrown at Ted Cruz

Texas Senator Ted Cruz was hit by a beer can while partaking in the Astros’ victory parade in Houston, Texas, on Monday, November 7.

Local police said they arrested a 33-year-old man without further incident and that Cruz did not require medical attention.

Footage of the incident shows Cruz and his family travelling on the back of a pick up truck down Smith Street in central Houston while crowds boo. A member of Cruz’s security entourage spots the incoming object but cannot block it in time.

In another video filmed earlier, onlookers can also be heard booing the senator as his pick up truck passes by.
