Police arrested a second man in connection to a January shooting that left one person with life-threatening injuries.

Devon Maurice Dorsey Jr., 20, also was one of several people arrested in connection to the March 26 Oceanfront shootings that left eight people injured and two dead — one hit by a stray bullet and another shot by police.

Police charged Dorsey with seven counts of felony assault, illegally using a gun and recklessly handling a gun for the Oceanfront shootings as well as robbery, malicious wounding and use of a firearm for the January shooting. He is currently locked up at the Virginia Beach city jail.

The Jan. 23 shooting, on the 900 block of Atlantis Drive, ended with an adult man shot in the back during a robbery. Police had already arrested Montrell McIntyre, 23. He also faces charges for robbery, malicious wounding and use of a firearm.
