Man arrested after threatening wife at work with text photo of his rifle

Abilene Police Department's SWAT unit was dispatched Monday to a north-side residence after a man threatened his wife at work.

According to an APD report, the husband and wife were in an argument. He drove to her workplace, a nursing facility, and began to text and call her nonstop. He asked her to come outside but she refused, police said.

He then sent her a photo of a rifle in his vehicle at the site.

The woman told her boss, who shut down the nursing facility and called police.

The man returned home, to which police and a SWAT unit were dispatched. He was arrested following a traffic stop.
