Man arrested in woman's death in Golden Gate Estates; held in Glades County

Collier County Sheriff's Office said a 71-year-old man is in custody in Glades County after a woman was found dead in her Golden Gate Estates home late Thursday.

On Saturday, the office's Facebook account reported Racine Raphael was arrested on a Collier County warrant charging him with second-degree murder. He will transfer to Collier County Jail.

A family member checking on her found the woman's body at the home about 11 p.m., deputies said.

Detectives determined her death is a homicide.

Neither Glades County Jail nor Collier County Jail had a record of Raphael at 10 p.m. Saturday.
