Man asks girlfriend to text him World Cup updates, gets more than he bargained for
There are already plenty of people already out there tweeting, blogging and writing about the World Cup — but maybe its time for a new voice to enter the mix.
"My boyfriend asked me to text him updates from the #ENGTUN game as he's on his way home," tweeted @lightningstarr, a law student from London, on Monday night. "You can't say it's not accurate."

That series of messages has now been shared over 2,500 times.
Needless to say, it went down a storm on Twitter.

The only bad news is we won't be getting a follow up in the England vs. Panama match on Sunday.
Thanks everyone! If I knew this was going to take off I would've made sure I spelt floor correctly 😂 I'm sorry to say that I'm on a plane at the time of the next England game... 🤦♀️
