Man who assaulted deputies tells them he’s ‘your mom’ when asked name, Stafford County Sheriff’s Office says

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — The sheriff’s office said deputies took a man into custody after he assaulted multiple deputies, resisted arrest and only would identify himself as “your mom.”

On Thursday, at around 8:15 p.m., the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said deputies responded to a call of a disturbance happening on the Chatham Bridge.

A first sergeant arrived and found two people trying to calm down a man who was shirtless and yelling. That man, Jason McIntire Jr., 26., continued to yell as additional deputies responded to the report saying that he didn’t “need” to go to jail.

SCSO said that all the deputies observed signs of McIntire being intoxicated.

The sheriff’s office said when the deputies tried to detain him, McIntire lunged toward the first sergeant. Deputies placed him in handcuffs. They said McIntire kept trying to resist arrest and ended up kicking a sergeant and deputy and wouldn’t give his name. They said kept saying he was “your mom.”

Deputies took him to the Rappahannock Regional Jail. He’s charged with with two counts of assault and battery on law enforcement, obstruction of justice and public intoxication.
