Man, boy killed in car crash on Route 80 exit ramp in Wayne, state police say

Two people, including a child, were killed in a single-car crash on Route 80 in Wayne on Sunday morning, police said.

Robert Csapo, 46, of Lyndhurst, and a male juvenile died when a Honda Odyssey traveling east struck a light pole on the left side of the exit ramp at Exit 53, state police Sgt. Philip Curry said. The accident occurred at 10:04 a.m.

Two other boys sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and were taken to a nearby hospital, Curry said. Police did not release their names or the name of the boy who was killed.

Exit 53 was closed for about four hours after the accident, Curry said. The crash remains under investigation.
