Man Brutally Beaten and Slashed by 12 People in Broad Daylight in NYC Chinatown
New York City police are searching for 12 “males and females” who slashed, beat and robbed a lone victim in Chinatown in broad daylight. The incident, which was caught on surveillance video, occurred at Canal Street and Allen Street around 11:30 a.m. last Friday. In the video, the group can be seen chasing and surrounding the male victim, who quickly fell on the ground defenseless. Police said in a statement to NextShark that the group "cut the victim with an unknown sharp object," leaving him with lacerations on the head, torso and hands. The victim was identified as not being of Asian descent. The suspects also stole the victim’s phone, pants, underwear and shoes before fleeing the scene in multiple vehicles. The 26-year-old victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital and is now in stable condition. He said he did not know the attackers.
