Man to be castrated after impregnating 14-year-old
SPRINGFIELD, La. (WJW) – A Louisiana man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after raping and impregnating a 14-year-old girl.
Glenn Sullivan Sr., 54, pleaded guilty on April 17 to four counts of second-degree rape, according to a press release from the 21st Judicial District Attorney Scott Perrilloux.

According to the release, the guilty plea comes after an investigation by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office that began in July 2022.
According to the release, the victim told detectives Sullivan raped her multiple times when she was just 14 years old. As a result of being raped, the victim became pregnant.
A DNA test that was ordered during the investigation proved that the baby was Sullivan’s.
According to the release, Sullivan groomed the victim and used threats against her and her family to make sure she did not tell anyone that she was raped.

“So many of these types of cases go unreported because of fear. The strength it must have taken for this young woman to tell the truth in the face of threats and adversity is truly incredible,” Perrilloux said in the release.
Sullivan will now serve 50 years in prison and is sentenced to be physically castrated, according to the release.
“Sex crimes against juveniles are the most malicious crimes we prosecute. I intend on using every tool the legislature is willing to give us, including physical castration, to seek justice for the children in our community,” Assistant District Attorney Brad Casci said.
