Man and Cats Take Harrowing Drive Out of California's Camp Fire

A blazed named the Camp Fire started to burn in Paradise, California, on the morning of November 8, forcing a man to abandon his paradise along with his pets.

According to the Butte County Sheriff’s office, about 27,000 people have been evacuated from Paradise as the fire continued to burn, threatening lives and homes. The fire began near Camp Creek Road and then began to move west toward Paradise, and so was named the Camp Fire.

Joshua Siegel was able to record footage from inside the car as he was evacuating Paradise with his pets, showing just how intense the flames were. Both sides of the road are burning, only a few yards away from the vehicles driving past. Hospitals and schools in the area have been evacuated but so far no reports of injuries.
