Police in Birmingham have charged a man with offences relating to car cannibalism.

Mohammed Haydar, 21, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with conspiracy to steal from motor vehicles, and two offences of going equipped for theft.

He is accused of 14 car-stripping offences between March 2023 and April 2024.

Mr Haydar, of Fernhurst Road, Birmingham, is due to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court today.

The force said it took vehicle crime seriously, and asked anyone with information about cars being stolen or stripped for parts to get in touch.
