Man convicted of child exploitation crimes

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — An Arizona man was convicted by a federal jury after a two day trial.

Mercer County man sentenced to 35 to 120 years for sexual abuse of a child

Alan J. Disomma Jr., 60, of Payson, Arizona, was convicted of two counts of attempted enticement of a minor and one count of traveling in interstate commerce for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual activity.

According to court evidence, it was proven that on December 10, 2021, Disomma began messaging a woman living in West Virginia whom he believed to be the mother of two minor girls. He stated in his messages to her that he wanted to have sexual relations with both girls. He also mentioned that he would travel to West Virginia to meet them.

From December 21, 2021 to December 18, 2022, Disomma continued to text with the woman about his interest in both girls. While text messaging at this time, Disomma asked about flying to West Virginia to visit them and also said that he had previously engaged in sexual relations with a prepubescent girl and subjected her to bestiality. He also talked about having them move to Arizona to live with him.

Disomma then flew from Arizona to Charleston, West Virginia, on December 18, 2022, where he planned to meet the woman and the girls to engage in sexual activity with them. When he got to Charleston, he was immediately arrested by police officers.
