Man critically injured in Maplewood stabbing; police arrest suspect
A 30-year-old man was in critical condition after he was stabbed numerous times at a Maplewood apartment building Friday afternoon.
Maplewood police, St. Paul police and Maplewood firefighters all responded to reports of a stabbing at 1:44 p.m. in the 300 block of East Larpenteur Avenue, police said.
First responders performed lifesaving efforts and the man was taken to Regions Hospital, in St. Paul, where he was in critical condition.
During the investigation, police identified a man as a suspect in the stabbing, and he was arrested and booked into the Ramsey County jail on felony second-degree assault.
